PHOTAUMATE

Send photos to an agency over SFTP or FTP

Delivering from the touchline with a connection that drops: PHOTAUMATE remembers what has gone and picks up where it stopped.

One server, your options

Protocols SFTP (recommended), FTP over TLS or plain FTP. With SFTP, the server’s key fingerprint is shown the first time, and the connection is refused if it changes later. Send the files as they are, or JPEGs made for the occasion (quality and size of your choice, never enlarged) with your IPTC and XMP metadata written inside. A RAW+JPEG pair can go in full, as JPEG only or as RAW only.

The delivery queue

Each upload is a batch in a queue that survives a restart. Prepare several (one per client), then start them: they go one after the other. Each photo is remembered as soon as it is on the server: if the connection drops, a file fails or you close the application, Resume sends only what is missing. A file is never left half-written: it goes up under a temporary name and is checked before it takes its real one.

A delivery template for each client

Save the server, the destination folder and all the options under a client’s name (agency, club, newspaper). Next time, one click fills everything. The password is never saved in the template; it can be kept in the Windows credential store if you ask.

No surprises

If a file already exists on the server, you choose: keep both, skip or replace. Photos that were sent get a small arrow in the grid.
