Find blurry photos and bursts
After a match you are left with hundreds of near-identical frames and a few failures to throw out. The Analyse feature finds them for you.
What it finds
- Blurry photos, judged against the other photos of the folder. The measure looks at the sharpest part of the picture: a sharp player on a soft background (wide aperture) counts as sharp, camera shake or a missed focus does not. Three levels: strict, normal, lenient.
- Under- and over-exposed photos, clearly too dark or too bright. They are reported apart and do not distort the sharpness measure.
- Bursts: shots taken a few seconds apart that look alike. Each burst gets a number, and a star marks the sharpest shot, the one to keep.
You stay in control
Nothing is rejected automatically. The results appear on the thumbnails, and the Select buttons pick the photos concerned: press X to reject them, or T to tag the best ones. Select the weaker shots takes every shot of a burst but the best.
Fast, and on your machine
Photos are only read, on a reduced copy: for a RAW file the embedded preview is enough. The work happens on your computer, with nothing sent anywhere, and the results are remembered: reopening the folder does not redo it. A RAW and its JPEG count as one shot.
It is an aid, not a judge: a deliberate blur is flagged like the others, and the decision is yours.
